I own a 2003 L200 sedan 120,000 kms. It has a number of problems but the latest one has the camber of the rear wheels way out. This caused the tires to wear and cup on the inside of both. I'm told there is no factory ajustment build in to the rear suspension. My question is, has this ever happened before? What would cause this? What would be the fix? JIM | 08/13/2008 04:21:56 |
I am no expert but am going through the same with my Saturn SL2. The struts do have an adjustment, atleast on mine, but it is limited and may have reached the limits. There are after market camber adjuting kits, about 20/wheel. I am guessing your strut has two lower mounting bolts. The lower of the two holes in the strut should be slotted to allow for some adjustment (camber, not caster). If you are already at the end of the slot travel, the camber adjusting kit give you an ecentric bolt which fits in one of the two lower holes to allow the strut travel to be increased. Good luck, and I hope your strut is designed like mine | 10/29/2008 05:23:24 |
